The 2024 Primary Election Day in New Mexico will be held on April 4.
Key Election Dates
Absentee & Early Voting
May 7:
- Clerks begin mailing absentee ballots to voters who have requested them.
- Books close for online and paper voter registration.
- In-person absentee voting and Same Day Registration at Clerk’s Annex begins.
May 18 – June 1: Early voting and Same Day Registration expand from Monday to Saturday. Most locations open from 10am to 7pm.
May 21: Deadline for absentee applications to be received.
June 1: Early voting ends.
