Bio

Jessie has been involved in New Mexico politics since 2017, when she joined Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham’s Congressional office in Albuquerque. She grew up in the South Valley and graduated from the University of New Mexico in 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts in mass communications and journalism. Before joining CCP, Jessie was the public information officer for the office of Mayor Tim Keller and went on to be the communications director for the campaigns of Congresswomen Teresa Leger Fernández and Melanie Stansbury. She’s passionate about using data, messaging, and storytelling to increase voter engagement and discuss some of the major issues our communities face. Jessie lives in Los Chavez, a small community just north of Belen, with her partner Juan and three dogs – Forrest, Summer, and Goldie. In her freetime she can be found running trails in the Bosque, working on a new recipe, or spending time outdoors.
